Monthly Temperatures in the Cayman Islands

Cool winters and hot summers are typical of the climate in the Cayman Islands, though visitors from more northern areas may feel that island weather is hot regardless of the time of year.  Average temperatures range from a low of 77 to a high of 85 degrees Fahrenheit, the coldest weather occurring in January and February, and the hottest in July and August.

In order to make the most of your Cayman Islands vacation, you may consider planning your daily activities to coincide with daily weather patterns.  Take note of how weather flows on the chart below.  Early mornings are the coolest time of day, so getting in any exercise, like hiking treks or tennis matches, are best done as close to sunrise as possible.  Late morning the temperature spikes up to seven degrees, and continues to rise through early afternoon.  These hours are best spent on indoor pursuits such as museum tours, or relaxing beach side.  By late afternoon, things begin to cool off again, continuing to do so as evening wears on.
