Since it opened in May of 2000, the Reef Resort has more than doubled in size -- a true testament to the resort's popularity. Each of the 152 spacious suites offers views of the 1600 stretch of private beach, and provides guests with the seclusion they desire from the crowded cities of Grand Cayman.

Accommodations

With 78 rooms, the Reef Resort is a moderately-sized accommodation option. Because it offers a comfortable blend of a small hotel's comforting features and a large hotel's conveniences, many travelers find this property is well tailored to their needs. With respect to overall quality, we've given this property a 3.5 star rating. Yet, considering all that is offered, it's a relatively affordable option.

The Reef Resort offers suites in Studio and Deluxe, and one and two-bedroom condos. Amenities and views vary with accommodation chosen, but all offer a king-sized bed, private patio or balcony, mini-fridge (in larger condos), and a coffee maker.

The Reef has long been the home of the legendary Barefoot Man, but we are pleased to announce that for the upcoming months JR Douglas now also call The Reef home ! Please note that, in keeping with the relaxed nature of Cayman, these guys don’t work all the time, but we have pinned them down to a schedule for the next few months to help you plan ahead. Barefoot Man He's to the Caribbean what Jimmy Buffet is to Key West, but everyone knows him only as "Barefoot." Barefoot is the biggest "B" to hit the island since Blackbeard. No visit to the island is complete without a visit to The Reef to see Barefoot Man offering his unique brand of humorous musical relief and relaxation. Barefoot can be seen our air conditioned Pelican’s Reef from 7pm to 10 pm, Tuesday and Thursdays. Each evening Barefoot plays we offer a three course gourmet dinner for only CI 39.50… and of course you get to see Barefoot play too! Please see our calendar below for Barefoot’s summer schedule. JR Douglas Local entertainer and DJ JR Douglas will get the weekend started with his infectious style of island vibes at the Rusty Pelican on Wednesday nights. Come and join us for happy hour drinks and cool music! Hi-Tide This acoustic duo is known for their original work as well as their covers of some greats such as David Grey and Dave Matthews Band. Come and relax by the beach bar with a Cayman Lemonade while Hi-Tide played their unique Caribbean tunes.

Children will never get bored at the Reef Resort by enrolling in the fun kid's program, playing in the game room, or being supervised by the babysitting services while you lounge by the pool.
